Default need help now!! os update!

Please Login to Remove!

On the blackberry website there was a thing that said I can do the v5.0 update on my 8520. I did the update and now half my stuff is missing! There r no games in the games folder, no memo pad, password keeper, nothing! All my apps r gone! Someone pleaseeee help mee my bbm pin is 2213aecc I need help asap. Bbm me if u can helppp

i did back up. i backed up all my info on my computer. but the games and the memopad and all that stuff is already preloaded into the blackberry. so thats why i have no idea why it dissapeared.

Okay nevermind. i got all my info back. the only thing that is acting wierd is that my sounds arent playing :(

One thing to remember as you consider an OS upgrade. If your device is working the way you want and need and is not broken, there is no real reason to try to fix it.

And only do an OS update if that version is approved by your carrier. Usually there will be a link on your carrier's website for BlackBerry users, which takes you to the appropriate RIM update page approved by your carrier.

If you install an update from RIM via any other method it may not have your carrier's approval and there's a chance the update might do some strange things to your handset.

This is NOT true. RIM builds all of the OSes and then the Carrier releases them as they wish. The OS will only work with your model device, so it doesn't matter which carrier releases it.
