Is there a way to see what letters corespond the the numbers on the 8100? For example, on a regular phone, 2 is abc, 3 is def, 4 is ghi,...etc. I had to call a number 1-800-iflyswa and could remeber which letters corespond to what numbers, so I had to use another phone.

Is there a way to display this information or do I have to memorize it?

BTW: The BB Pearl is the best phone I have ever had...what a great phone!!!

while dialing hold the alt key and type out the letters

From what I've read on the forums....you have to make sure your letters are in CAPS.

From my Cingular "phone" help file on the BB:

"When you type a letter in a phone number, your Blackberry device dials the number that is associated with that letter on a conventional phone keypad.

"To type a number press a number key.

"To type the first letter on a key, hold the ALT key and press the letter key once.

"To type the second letter on a key, hold the ALT key and press the letter key twice."

^^^ correct. Just type out the letters needed and the phone will translate to the number. Does not need to be in caps.
