Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums so please let me know if I am posting this question in the right section. Thanks. Anyways, I've looked online and I've been wanting to customize my 9800's keyboard color. Now I know the method of taking a clear plastic with any color of my choice over the keyboard leds, but my only problem is, I'm not familiar with taking the phone apart enough just to get to the keyboard leds. If you could answer my question, that would be great. I appreciate it, thanks.

Wow a new blackberry and you say you’re not familiar with taking it apart but want to!!
I would suggest two methods
1st leave it alone ( my suggestion)
2nd just dip it in a paint bucket of the color of your choice.

Ok if your really going to do this take a look on line for disassembly photos or possible a YouTube demo.

haha, yes it may kill the warranty. So please dont do it during warranty time.

My work doesn't allow camera so I had to take mine apart before I even got my SIM card in. I've returned devices in the past and as long as the problem isn't associated directly with you opening it up, they generally don't hassle you about the security sticker being gone.

You were very very lucky. i would not bet on that at all carriers.
