The idokorro app seems to work well. Kinda slow, but for quick fixes it seems to fit the bill.

You can download the trial directly to your BB from their site www.idokorro.com

Try MidpSSH - it's great, and free!

It's still much faster than midpssh in many respects, assuming you use a normal font such as 5 point or 7 point. Some fonts really slow down MobileSSH, try selecting a 7 point font, which is usually the fastest font. For bigger fonts, try using one of the fixed pitch fonts, which generally perform significantly faster than variable-pitch fonts. MobileSSH contains a lot of nice features, provides a lot of configurability, and allows you to multitask many telnet/ssh sessions concurrently too.

However, if light use is all you need, midpssh works well. The best thing to do is download a free trial of Idokorro MobileSSH (enter www.idokorro.com in your BlackBerry) and download midpssh and try both out, and see which fits your needs.

(Disclaimer: I work at Idokorro Mobile Inc.)

I was going to use MobileSSH to access my network equipment from cingular's network, but it only supports the hmac-sh1 algorithm. It works great with Cisco, but does not work with Extreme Networks switches. I have several hundred network switches that only support the hmac-md5 or md5-8 MAC algorithm.

GBrown, I have forwarded your suggestion to some staff at Idokorro.

I tried Idokorro and Midpssh side by side and Idokorro seemed to work better for me. The issue with Midp that I could not overcome was using a capital letter for the first line of everything. This will not work for my purposes, albeit free.

Idokorro worked better for me, but the price is holding me back right now.

Suggestions on MidP?

what's your problem? you like the pay software but won't pay for it, and free midpssh isn't good enough?

why not join in on the Forums for MIDPSSH at xk72.com/midpssh, register, and post your suggestions. Maybe it will make it into the next release..

The BlackBerry will auto-capitalize the first letter in most input fields. The solution is to type the letter, backspace it, and enter it again. It will not capitalize it the second time you type it.
