I establish BES in domain A and all the users also come from domain A. However, my boss told me, some users belong to domain B should be added now.

I tried to add users in BES directly, but the status always shows initializing, failed. My question is how to add users from different domain.

The environment is Windows 2003, Lotus Domino, BES.

1. Setup mail routing from A to B.
2. You BES in domain A must have access to the mail servers on Domain B. So setup cross-certification and add your BES into the LocalDomainServers group in domain B.
3. When add a you to your BES, for the Server specify a mail server from domain B.

We have the same thing going on. Merger is still ongoing a year later. 6 different domains, 2 forests. part of the company is split off and we are still supporting them. we've created another service account as they have their own exchange GAL view, and are limited as far as what corporate data they can access. We just gave them their own server, own service account, but they still connect to the same sql box.
