Default Does anyone really find wireless BlackBerry Keyboards useful?

Hey Folks,

Do any of you use any of the wireless keyboards and actually find that they make your more productive and are really useful passed being cool gadgets?

I have been struggling to find where these things truly add value. I thought that a wireless keyboard would make it easier for me to enter large amounts of text on my 7100t. It does when I am sitting at a table but it is virtually impossible for me to use when not at a table.

I also find that it is just as easy for me to pull my sub-notebook out (which I would much rather use if sitting at a table) as it is to pull out the wireless keyboard. This, however, may change as it starts to get cooler and I wear jackets or sport coats more often. The keyboard is to large to put into a pants pocket but probably would fit into a breast pocket quite niceley.

Before I say that wireless keyboards for BlackBerries are a waste money, I would like to get some other points of view.

Everyone uses their BB in different ways and for different purposes, so I'm sure some folks find it handy. I agree, though, that its practicality is somewhat limited. For me, it might be nice to have when I go on short trips during which I have to do some heavy e-mail and document drafting/editing, but don't want to lug around my laptop. Not that my laptop is particularly bulky, but it is an added pain at airport checkpoints, and also requires an internet connection at the hotel (actually, that wouldn't be the case if my BB was working as a modem, but I haven't taken the time to troubleshoot the problem on my XP machine -- works fine on my Win2K box, though). Aside from the travel scenario, I don't see much of a need/use for a keyboard, but everyone's situation is different.

I use my wireless keyboard when I have to goto a meeting when I have to take some notes. I have a tablet PC also. Sometimes going lighter is better (plus I got mine off of eBay for $39)
