You have to pay for it though....I'm not paying nothing. Are there any FREE apps for MSN Messenger?

There are some free apps out there....they don't work very well. In the IM app world, you get what you pay for.

I use the BB Google Talk with an MSN transport, works great and is free. I am not paying for an IM client, I know JiveTalk is nice and I liked using it, but I'm not paying $30 just to use MSN. (I don't use AIM or ICQ and use the BB Yahoo Messenger for Yahoo). The Google Talk with the transport is working just as good for me as JiveTalk did.

You'll have to check with your carrier's data roaming rates. If you are applicable to data roaming charges, you will incur costs

I totally agree. Also, it is insulting that Bell Mobility will charge you 3$/month for a free application. I downloaded the software from BB site but the service books are not good... even if you delete and resend them.
Curious if they will charge a fee for GPS... I would not be surprised.

It's NOT free application though. MS is charging licensing fees for every copy.
There's no way to charge for GPS.

through BB Google Talk on my phone?

I use JiveTalk for msn, as John said you get what you pay for, its worth the $30 one-time charge. Ive used the free apps out there as well, and there not nearly as reliable or easy to use. Install JiveTalk, set it up and you're set!

For instance I installed ramble last week just for giggles it worked all of 2 minutes before it locked down tighter than dicks hat band. I run Jivetalk daily all day with out any disconnects

In this particular instance free will do just fine for me. I too know when to pay for something I need to be dependable but this is just an IM prog on a cell phone. If it only works part of the time that's enough for me.

So with that said, you wouldn't happen to know how to set-up MSN Messenger through Google Talk per my original post would ya?

Sine I'm just on BIS, I use GoogleTalk, and I used it's other protocols to merge it with AIM, MSN, and GTALK all into one The best thing EVER!

I totally agree. I use GTALK with MSN and AIM Transports EVERY DAY! They've never failed me yet. Besides, for people that only have BIS access, that's their only choice, without having to pay 50 cents per connection or on top of their BIS access (unlimited use), a unlimited data plan if they don't end up paying the 50 cents!

Honestly, I have all the clients installed on my BB, AIM, Yahoo, WML, GTALK, ICQ... And I have a hotkey (The old camera button) tagged to only GTALK, cuz if I get a message, all i'd want to do is hit a button and see all my clients. So I actually prefer having a client that handles many protocols, like GTALK with Transports, & Jivetalk, or IM+. But for the moment, I'm just chatting, it's not life or death for me if I don't get a message or I get disconnected. If it were something important, they wouldn't send it to me via MSN or AIM... They'd either call, e-mail or send an SMS. (my 2 cents )

sure thing! I use:
msn.nedbsd.nl
aim.jabber.meta.net.nz

But these past few days GOOGLE TALK has been dropping it's service, but not the transports. So happy using!
