Default Painted 7100t Case (Pic)

I am not really happy with the way it came out... since i had no reference i only learned what not to do by making the mistakes... i am confident that if i can get another case i will be able to do it to my liking... i love the paint that i found however. called outdoor metallic. has flakes in it..

Do you have pictures of the innards and how you took it apart?

I know that it sounds like a lot of work, but you should take a dremel or something and sand it down and try it again if you don't like the current results. It would probably be a lot cheaper then getting another case.

because sanding it down will leavt it without a finish, just bare plastic... no matter i just spoke with T-mobile and they are sending me an out of warranty replacement

Warranty Replacement??? How did you manage to do that? Did you just smash it up or something?

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Remove all of the finish and start over. Then you can hit it with some clear for shine.

the biggest problem i ran into was the thickness of the paint.... i have customized tons of plastic stuff, and in order to keep it from scratching you need to have 2 coats of plastic primer, 2 coats of paint, and 3 coats of clear. that all builds up and throws off the way everything fits together.

i am not doing a Warranty replacement, iam doing an OUT of warranty replacement. I think it cost $60... believe it or not after all of that. actually seeing the differnet colors up against the buttons and lcd cover, the t-mobile color still looks the best.. i wouldnt mind having a 7100x though.

You should see what the 7100t looks like with blue LED's replacing the white ones on the keyboard. It is a pain in the butt to do, but if you do it right, looks nice.
