Default Email set up

Please Login to Remove!

I have no email settings icon on the main screen on my Storm so can't set up any kind of email.
i only want to add my existing account but can't even do that, I had no problem on my previous 8800 but fo some reason theres no icon there, no way to add it from the menus unless someone knows different.

Have even tried to set it up from my PC but after entering the PIN and IMEI am told this has to be done via handset, what am I to do??

If you have the Setup Wizard icon, try going to Email Settings through there.

You can no longer send service books from the BIS site, you need to do it from the device.

@jsconyers: I am by no means challenging you... However, in the interest of clarity, when you log into the BIS site, and click on the HELP button, there is a button you can click on that says: SEND SERVICE BOOKS. I in-fact just did so and have received emails sent to my device indicating that my 3 BIS email accounts are up and running.

I have been telling folks around here to do this when necessary. Should I no longer do so?

No, Kopter. You're correct. It is now located under Help.

I do have the set up wizard icon but only have the set up BES option.

If I try through the Orange website to set up an account - old or new, enter the required PIN & IMEI to be told my carrier does not support this service.

I have had an Orange account for years, I've had a BB8800 for afew years with no email problems.
New BB using a different version, is this the problem. Maybe the version doesn't like Orange email, don't understand what happened to the email icon either.

You had a BB before, with a BIS account setup?

You need to login into the BIS account, and use the CHANGE DEVICE option, to enter the new device's PIN.

Oh dear I seem to be sending the wrong messages to you guys. I do know what to do and how to set it up, has always been easy before but from the set up screen I am only being given the BES option.
I do know I need to change the device and the device PIN, as soon as i've done that a message comes back to say the carrier is not supported, so I'm guessing its something to do with the application version.
I don't actually use email that much but because I can't get it to work I need to make it work, typical woman!!
I've also re-registered the network, pulled the battery and that did nothing.

Do you remember your login username and password for the BIS account originally?
If so, go find Orange's BIS page on the internet, (use a PC, not your phone) and login and do it there.
