Just ugraded to bb os 4.5. Everytime i connect to bb desktop it performs a search for update. I try canceling but will not respond...at times it takes several minutes to complete the check.

How to I disable this function?

you can always remove that HH OS from your add remove programs. That way it does not need to check to see if there is an update when there is no HH os installed on your computer.

If you are in DM 4.6 I don't think you can. I haven't found a way. Its not the OS, its the DM.

Yes, my DM is 4.6 and BB OS 4.5...so i'm pretty much stuck w/this?

this bugs me, too! during the 4.6 install there's a "check for updates" option, but i don't know if that refers to the same check. i uninstalled, and reinstalled DM 4.6, changed that option, but no joy. haven't gone for the full sanitized reinstall, but maybe that's the trick.

what does bug me (and maybe you) is the frequent failure of BBDevListenerMgr (i think that's it). failure of that desktop driver craps out often and stops both BB Media Sync and DM from working. 99% certain it fails on the DM side, as i use MedSync daily, but DM only once or twice per week.
