Any guesses on the US price for the 8300? I'm new to BB and hoping for something less than 8800? ($499 list; $349 w/contract)

Do you think it will be the same? more/less?

iPhone range? ($499-$599)

Your thoughts.

I'm thinking it will be in the $350-$500 range.

I'll pay it, I just don't want to sign with AT&T. I hope TMO releases their 8300 soon!

Same price for Both AT&T and TMO?

AT&T release June 1st and TMO, July 6th?

Does TMO take a long time to release after Cingular/AT&T?

Master Jedi, mind if I ask why you don't want to go to AT&T, besides the obvious reasons like maybe you'd rather not switch wireless carriers. Just wondering.

I'm nervous myself to switch to AT&T because I've had nextel for so long and have never really heard much about cing. reception in my area. Though I'm sure it'll be fine.

As for price, I'm anxious to know the price as well. I'm not sure which store I'm going to go to but a few stores I've called, they have been rather nasty and would rather give my money to someone who can at least act decently to customers!

From experience after years with AT&T/Cingular/the-new-AT&T...do business with a corporate store...not a kiosk-type store in a strip-mall. Corporate stores have corporate supervisors...and better paid salespeople with better attitudes.

I have two stores in my area that I do business with. Only two...and only a couple of people that I go to, because they have consistantly been a help to me...and not turned up their nose just because I need an adjustment or problem solved, and am not buying anything. THAT is the mark of a good salesperson...

And I am sure that AT&T is exactly line Nextel in that respect.

I'm betting pricing will be pretty much in the same ballpark. I wouldn't expect it to be significantly higher or lower than the 8800.

Yikes! Be sure to check out coverage throroughly while in your trial period. Definitely don't switch just for a new BB (though you'll probably never see a new iDen BB).

I'd definitely second the corporate store recommendation. There's a pretty big difference in my experience.

Of course not... We'd have a hard-to-miss post in these forums if there was an official carrier announcement.
