The only thing I don't like is the MicroUSB. I've got plenty of Mini USB cables and chargers around. I'd prefer not to replace those.

Yeah, I agree. With all the BB's I have had, I have a bunch of mini USB cables. Oh well though. Out with the old, in with the new!

I don't mind the MicroUSB.

Reason is, I feel MiniUSB will be out, and MicroUSB will replace it, starting to see it with bluetooth headsets.

Now for the Javelin, I thought it was gonna have 1GB of onboard memory! 256MB? Aww man!!!

It's the newest technology. Faster. More efficient. I'm just glad it's not some proprietary plug.

256MB Flash Memory is used for programs, OS, and the like. The 1GB onboard memory on the Bold is for Media, Documents, etc. 256MB Flash is twice the Bold's 128MB. We'll see what the Javelin will have for onboard memory soon..

I LOVE the size(i think its best dimensions of any phone) the and keyboard (also the best) of the curve so any improvement on that is worth passing over the Bold.

Says the screen is 480x360. Pearl is 240x260. Can it really be twice as wide and 50% taller? That would be huge! I'm liking this thing already. I can't get 3g anyway. Better camera and twice the memory of the Bold, smaller size, maybe better keyboard. That rocks.

Resolution. Not physical size. That's how the iPhone and the Bold both have 480x320 resolution, but the iPhone is a 3.5" screen and the Bold is a 2.5" screen

It's probably without the backlight to the trackball being on. However, a black trackball would be pretty sweet looking.

It's really comparing apples to oranges. The Bold is the replacement to the 88xx series and the Javelin is the replacement for the 83xx series. There are differences between the two (form factor, processor, flash memory, etc.), they are just targeted to different demographics. Bold is more corporate and Javelin is more consumer oriented.

Actually, the Javelin is even better. It has a 480x360 compared to the Bold's 480x320.
