I am in my 60s, infact, not far off being 61 years old. My daughter thinks I am very trendy having a 8900 Curve - but how trendy am I? Just what is the age-group in which the 8900 is most popular?
Slight mistake: 51 to 60+

I guess blackberry is still trendy irrespective of age. But maybe that is starting to change.
Blackberry has been _very_ popular since around the time the Pearl was initially released. Also because the blackberry is/was used by some popular celebs, and by some teen characters in television shows. That's my opinion.
Around the time of the first Pearl, there seemed to be a tidal wave of new forum members who had acquired a blackberry and had no clue about it. They just got a blackberry, any blackberry they could, because it was the cool thing.
That seems to still be going on, but maybe it is tapering off. Especially with the iphone and now the Droid. There are new cool devices. There are more choices, and smart phones seem to be more or less mainstream now.
You hear people saying the blackberry is too conservative and too slow to evolve (which doesn't bother me at all).
