Default Default format for messages (replies and new)

Please Login to Remove!

We have a user that is questioning why when they reply to a messge(the formatting differences can be seen when the user views the original email throught outlook) with colors, non standard fonts, etc, the formating of this messge is removed and the message is completly reformatted to plain text. We are using BES 4.1SP4 and the devices are 8830 (with latest available OS). i haven't seen any settings that would allow me to control this on the server and wonder if they (the other company's using this format) are using a 3rd party application to achive this. -i can not contact them. any assisstace you can provide would be appreciated.

thank you

Was it in HTML that he was replying to?

It may have been initially (I know about SP5 and possibly os4.5 support of these formats) -but we also trested replying to rich text with the same results. The message that was ssent to us initially came from (was commented -Sent from my Blackberry Device-) but still contained all of the formatting -differeent font different colors etc.

does anyone know how (or if it's possible) to change the message font from plain block text, or is this not going to be possible until SP5(or maybe SP6) and and the ever anticipated release of Blackberry OS4.3 OS4.5 or even OS4.6.

Before reply from our device;

Replies are removing the color associated with his signature, same as BES would with rich text or HTML formatting -which is what we tested. It appears the sender has set a font color for the body and a different font color for the signature. Can font color be changed in Plain Text either on the server through groups/it policies or individually on the devices? Can the BES server(natively no thrid party addons) be set to not change the original formatting (font color for example) of emails (if they are plain text).
