Why was my thread erased?

I had a thread caled JT's Themes. Im a noob at skinning. Wanted to try making some themes for the 8100, since I have one. I posted a few on the thread and bumped it for more people to see. Some guy named san fransisco chimes in with a tasteless highhorsed question so I replied with the same time of answer. He had over 1000 posts, should no better then to flame a noob, to the blackberry world, like me. This forum is about helping others and providing information to BB users I thought. Just wondering the reason my post was deleted and why I couldn't be informed beforehand.
I mod and supermod on other boards and always send PM's if I run into a questionable post. It's just the right thing to do!
