Default IM+ w/ Bold (LED Issue)

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so the other day I purchased and installed IM+ from BlackBerryApps.com : Your Update on the BlackBerry World (Love it BTW)

My issue I am having at the moment is the annoying constant blinking of the red led light. From the moment you open the program to the moment you pull battery there is nothing you can dop to stop the blinking. I have trying Closing the Prog, deleting and reinstalling and nothing. There are no messages or voicemails or anything.

I am running .282

Any Ideas?

I don't know about the setup on the BB Bold. I use an 8820, but recently had a similar issue with an app that hijacked several of the interface features like the led. The solution wasn't where I'd expect it to be at all. I found that I had to go into Profiles then Advanced. Edit the profile (probably called Normal) and then locate the application that has created new profile instructions. In your case, probably called IM+.

Hope this solves your problem!

AAAHHHH Did not think of that! I thought it was in the permissions but no luck.

I did find it in the the Profiles section. There was a thing called IM+ Messanger - Connection. And in there LED Flashing was on. So just for being connected I was getting flashing.

Thanks for the help. Sometimes it just takes a fresh mind to think.

Wow what a crazy option.. I use IM+ and found the same thing... what a bad design for an alert "This anoying sound will keep going off untill something is wrong and it will stop." How about showing a light only when something is wrong???

Thank you so much for that information. That too was really starting to piss me off and wasn't using the app as much because of that.

Yeah i had the same thing where the led flashed non stop, but as soon as i went into the IM+ settings, then "Notifications", and changed my "Notifications via:" to IM+ instead of the defaulted "Blackberry profiles" that problem went away completely. Now the annoying red blinking LED is gone yay!!!

Most newer apps or versions now allow you to set alerts from Profiles. Facebook, IM+, Viigo, Weatherbug.
