Does the boxwave have the "orange peel" effect too? I perfer something contured to the full screen of the bold, are all of these custom fit to the Bold, or just the screen area? My last PPC I actually ended up using a screen protector that came with my Moms HP PDA, I had to cut it to fit, but it didnt have the orange peel effect, and it fit almost pefect. still on the phone, I never changed it and after a while it got pretty cruddy. Part of why I got my bold. Thanks in advance.

I know what you mean, but honestly, the skin is hardly noticeable on the screen. Just make sure you let it sit over night to dry and don't mess with it. It will look beautiful in the morning.

I'm not sure I know what the "orange peel" effect is, but spring for the BSE full body skin. Even if you only use the screen piece, it is different from the BSE "screen only" skin. The one from the full body kit covers the whole screen and extends to the chrome band, down the sides of the chrome band, and covers the antenna cover. It looks really good and if you do it right, you don't have to worry about water damage.
I was concerned that the skin would take away from the brilliance of the screen, but I can say for sure that it doesn't. When you are looking straight at the screen you cannot even tell it's on there.

I'm not sure what is meant by the "orange peel" effect either but the BSE is worth it, if you don't mind the gaps on the sides where it does not protect. See my post over at howardforums.

when you say cut to size, do you mean it's contoured to the entire front screen area (i.e. cut out for the ear hole), or just cut to cover the display area?

If you look at a orange skins closely, you can see the orange peel effect which is basically not a smooth surface but there r multiple small craters on an orange peel.
Hope i explained myself properly.
BTW, I use BestSkinEver protector on my curve and soon to be Bold owner. I already have the BSE waiting to be installed.

Do these screen protectors all stick on, or do they simply lie on top of the sreen?

I'm not sure I follow your question, but the one - have sticks to the screen, and is re-applicable, if that's what you are wondering...

BTW, thanks for the screen patronous referal, got it yesterday and they look very nice. I have to admit though I kinda goofed on the install and there are 2 tiny dust specks, so I have to remove and re-apply... Also the insert that came with them says washable and reusable, does that mean I can rinse it off and re-apply it? Or is that a general feature they put on all the inserts?
