Default what a waste of time

i was right, sell-out or not, verichat is so much better than this. i know it's a hack and all but i can't even get any help from this thread. serious waste of time. $25 a month is so worth it compared to this B.S.

Ok, must be missing some step..

have gmail, no jabber account, have AIM.

installed Miranda, added the SSL dlls, opened Miranda, added the gtalk setup,
my gmail userid, etc.. I installed AIM, MSN and Jabber services.

I start Miranda, and voila, there are my AIM contacts.

Now, Crown->Jabber-> Agents.. oops.. Agents is greyed out.. now what?
| ok, that is fixed, the server in 4.Setup Miranda , talk.google.com had a trailing space.

Now I get the list of services, but pick AIM and get no userid/pw prompt.. AIM/ICQ I do..

but my contacts don't flow to the BB..

| ok, I changed the server name to deepdarc.com in step 8, and now things work..

Sam

the PSI method is pretty simple and so far using deepdarc.com for aim seems fairly stable. only issue i have is finding one for yahoo.

Setting up PSI for Google Talk:
Google Talk: Google Talk Help

When you're done. Rename the long buddy names that show up on PSI before logging into GoogleTalk for BlackBerry. You don't have to, but it's easier to do it first on the PC.

Good luck!

Since there is a native Yahoo IM program available at http://mobile.blackberry.net, I wouldn't even bother using a transport to GT.

Unless it's changed recently, the native Yahoo IM doesn't work for those of us using Cingular. Overall I really like how clean and integrated GT is on the BB, but as noted by others, I have yet to find a stable yahoo transport. I've also tried verichat, im+, webmessenger. There's good and bad to all of them, but my personal preference is GT 'cause it's so clean and simple, not to mention free -- if only it could really do multi-protocol.

I see... I'm a Cingular-Blue user and I don't even use Yahoo anyway. That said, I have installed both clients on my friends' TMO BBs.

Thanks for the clarification.

Default Help!

Ok. I've gotten google to work, but I can't seem to figure out how to add my AOL & Yahoo accounts. What are the servers, what's my Jabber ID, and which checkboxes do I select?

Google Talk: Google Talk Help

If you don't use PSI, Google's support page has links to other jabber clients.

It might be a dumb question. However, when I locate the AIM transporter, however, the "register" option is grayed out. Does it mean I can't use that specific transporter for AIM messaging?

That's correct, if you can not hit the register button you will have to move on to a diffrent transport.

Hey guys, I got it to work, I currently have AOL, Yahoo, and MSN working, but when I sign in to GTalk, it pops up a screen that says "command failed" I have to hit the "back" button, and then "enter". It doesn't adversely affect it, just kind of annoying. I deleted GT, but when I reinstalled it, it already knew my login/password, so I'm assuming it didn't really uninstall it completely, any tips?

Workaround:
Grex says in his post; http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...ml?#post279850, to hit the enter key as many time as you have buddies in your contact list.

I'm having the same problem and this workaround works for me at the moment. However, I'm stumped on the
"Uncaught exception: process net_rim_bb_qm_google (###) killed due to message queue overflow" that my wife and two other BB friends are experiencing.

It's been a while, but seeing this post reminded me of something. If I add a contact using a jabberID format like, [email address], into GoogleTalk for BB, then I'll get those bounced messages and it uses up my gmail invites.

If I add a contact it in PSI, it doesn't send those invite via google, nor does it decrease your invite count. Much cleaner this way.

Default Google Talk - requiring an open SSL library.

Does anyone have an update to step number 3:
3.Unzip the following archive to the Miranda directory under Program Files.

This weblink detailed under this step is longer valid and it is requiring an open SSL library.

Thanks.

It must be late and I'm not understanding, but how exactly does installing Miranda on the desktop cause the BB with GTalk to work with all the other networks? I can see all of the people from all other networks, but they are showing up as "unsubscribed".
