Got an email from donotreply@blackberry.com. Said my email needed to be validated. It said all I had to do was update my password. So I went to email setup and tried to validate and it said my email or pw was invalid. I deleted my account and tried to re add it and now I'm getting the same error message. It keeps saying my email address or password is invalid. Even though I can sign in to my gmail on my phone or computer. I tried changing my pw but it didn't help. Also tried batt pull and resending service books.

You tried changing the password on your google account and editing the BIS page again?

Yes. I edited it through the email set up app.

Tried creating an account with bis on the web and it tells me my username is already taken. Prpbably from my old 8310. Clicked forgot my password and it said it would send the password to my phone but I have yet to receive anything. This is driving me nuts. I have 2 gmail accounts on this bb and only one is affected. The other is still working fine.

Gotta love a BB. Just got home from work. Changed the Gmail password again to something I've never used before, edited the BIS page thru the setup wizard like I've been doing all night, and voila. I have email again. Sometimes I wonder if I should have bought an iPhone.

I had the same issue accessing the BIS through a PC, when I changed the protocol settings in my Hotmail account through the BIS (that also does not work as it should either). I played around with it for a while but could not log in. I closed the browser, re-opened it and was able to login, finally. It's something with the BIS...some sort of bug perhaps.
