On the plus side, stability and memory management have progressed to the point where it's rarely necessary. I use Airplane Mode or the Silent profile to shut down signals/sounds but I rarely turn my Q10 off completely.

Bedside mode works great at night, especially if your device is your alarm.

Bedside Mode is what you are looking for. It stops all notifications without turning your device off. You can also set it up to allow certain calls and notifications through.

Bedside mode will appear as a small tab at the top, centre of your device when it is locked. You can place your finger on the tab and pull down. It will also say on the screen that Notifications are disabled.

There still is no auto off/on. Something that you could schedule once and leave it.

True. I guess I don't miss it because I never used it with my older models. Had a missed alarm once and never went back. Weird, cause sometimes notifications do come in when I ha E bedside mode activated. It's not one of my allowed Co tact either.

I do miss how the device would turn on if you had an alarm coming up.... 10.2 offers multiple alarm possiblities(finally! wow that took soooo many years)....
That handoff I'm willing to give up...

I honestly don't get the reason to wait for the power off sequence(if swapping batteries) and turning back on.

The HUB database and everything isn't stored like it is on bb7 etc... Everything has to be summed/indexed every single time...

So great turning on my phone and waiting 5 minutes for me to do anything useful like search my contacts and call someone.
