We're just DAYS away from getting the real thing. If you've waited years for this, what's a couple of days at this point? I would recommend against the beta.

Beta (for me) has been worse than PM.
backed up and synced.
lost 460 contact and all birthday calendar. Notes quadrupled.
will not sync contacts. every time I restore from backup and sync it wacks all my BB contacts. cant get birthdays over at all.
Messed up data, transposing all over.
beta or not we had to know

Wirelessly posted (My name is Bubbles)

For the record this DOES NOT send information to RIM like BGR is stating.

I would definitely recommend everyone stay away from this thing. I have been fiddling with it today and it has been nothing but pure failure. It erased my calendar, refuses to sync contacts, does absolutely nothing with media, and even though the backup of data seemed to work fine, the restore was a disaster (as it only restore some settings while resetting many others, such as theme, mail options, etc.).

Stay far, far away, my friends.

Works great, lost no info. GUI is great and backups super speedy. VMm Fusion's days are numbered on my Mac's.

Soon I will have to change my sig!

I played around with it a while and changed some things on my Mac, and now it is working "ok" -- not the disaster of my previous attempts. Most of my problems now are in address book, where it is deleting email addresses of individuals and changing companies to "No Name." It is a little worrisome because now iSync isn't alerting me on changes so I can't catch them. I don't understand that because it worked fine when I first started messing with this DTM.

Other issues include that when I add an event on my BB is shows up 24 hours ahead in iCal. I move that event back to the correct time and on the next sync it is doubled on the BB.

Really, all this has done is made me crave the real DTM even more. Hopefully RIM will have these issues sorted out when they release the real thing.

Default Works perfectly.

After all this time... My BOLD and my MAC Book Pro talk to each other.

Smooth installation, Entourage sync, iTunes playlists, everything.

Today I will buy 8900 for my wife who's on MacBook Air.

Entourage works for me just fine. Contacts, notes and calendars.

Before installation, I made sure I removed all traces of previous failed Mac sync apps (PM, Missing Sync), repaired permissions, etc.

Only disappointment so far is that Mac DM doesn't seam to have photos or videos sync, just music from iTunes... let's see if future versions improve on this.

I got Version 1.0.0 Build 75

How did you get it to sync your entourage contacts? I do not see any option for Entourage on my DM.

Help

I didn't post this in the Mac users corner NJ where ever you are because I figured it was RIM Software... Its dually applicable.

In my case it worked FLAWLESSLY. I synced my Mac Addy Book, Calendars and Notes! Didn't try media because I don't use my blackberry for media nor tasks because I don't have any tasks created.

Note to Rambo- If you don't want to try it you don't have to discourage people who do. Live and learn policy in my book.
