for some reason when i load the backgrounds onto my bold browser its very low quality. anyone know why? it looks like its 16bit color

are you loading them using the browser on your BB? You may need to select the image and then click on "Full Image" in the menu, which will load the picture in its actual quality

Host the images on a photo sharing website (photobucket, flickr, etc...) and either copy the IMG code line and add it directly to your post, or copy the URL for the photo and use the Insert Image option above the text entry box to enter it. That, or wrap the URL in image tags manually if you are familiar with how to do so.
