ok, now it seems to be locked up on a new area "connecting to device". this is after it has already done most of the work. at this point, I DO NOT want to disconnect it. I don't want to cause problems. Any ideas??? I don't know what to do!

I upgraded my Verizon 8130 and it looks great so far. My one question is that I'm not getting emails in HTML. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere so that they show up in HTML?

Check back through this thread...I'm pretty sure a link to info on that has been posted.

You may have to resend service books, and note that HTML email will only work for email received after the upgrade, and you won't see images unless you click the BB key in a message and select "Get Images"...have to do that in every message, global settings to always get images automatically do not work.

HTML email is enabled and works quite well on this release...you have to request the images. When in an HTML email click the BB button and select "Get Images" and then select Yes on teh confirmation dialog.

At this point there is no way to always have images downloaded automagically - you have to request it for each email.

Thanks!!!!

I checked back through this entire post and have found nothing. I have resent service books multiple times and also have gone into Options > Host Routing Table and re-registered at least 6 times and still nothing. I don't get the option for "Get Images". I've also rebooted my phone several times to no avail. Version is correct...4.5.0.77. What else am I missing?

Thanks!

Nevermind...I never upgraded my BES to 4.1.6! I did that and it is working correctly now.

Sorry!

Anyone notice that the default Zen theme is messed up between the main screen and the screen with full icons? Take a look at the clock and date area and you will see that when you hit the berry icon or button from the home screen the date will flush to the left too much forcing the clock lower...

It's quite annoying...I am running 4.5.0.101 package with 4.5.0.77 applications.

.77 seems to be working fine for me. It also seems to have fixed one of the problems I was having with .56 and .66. Namely, now, when I disconnect from a long session of tethering, I am re-connected immediately to the Mobile Network for BES and BIS.

I haven't checked yet to see if it has fixed my problem with using Bluetooth for tethering.

Are you running a custom theme? I find it gets delayed quite a bit with some themes--but it does eventually go into standby. Otherwise, try a battery pull.

I have to do a battery pull to get it to work again but its a big annoyance. And no custom theme just a custom background that's an image i downloaded, but it has done that even before i changed it.

HTML email is included in OS 4.5 (supported by an update on the Blackberry servers as well).

When in a newly received HTML email, click the BB button and select "Get Images" and the images in the HTML email will appear - the HTML formatting of the email will appear automatically.

New skin on media player. Unfortunately, seek jump is still huge (like 60 second steps in a 25 minute video).
Web browser has direct search capability from "Go To..." page, which will save me many extra steps.
No pictures preloaded on the device at all (for desktop backgrounds).
Haven't got to play around with the GPS yet, which is the main reason I upgraded. Blackberry Maps couldn't properly initialize GPS for some reason, so hopefully that is fixed.
I upgraded US Cellular 4.3 to 4.5 and I seem ¥o be having troubles pulling up some webpages. Has anyone come across this? Everything else works great.

Default Unread message icon issue

Since upgrading I've noticed that if I select "More All" or "Get Images" on an email but delete it before it's completed either operation, it'll show an unread message on the main display even though the email is gone.

Marking everything as read doesn't get rid of it--have to do a reset. Very minor issue.
