Default Tansferring Contacts via Bluetooth to an Auto??

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I was able to pair my 8700 with my new 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser however the phonebook will only hold up to 1000 contacts. I have close to 2000, so I'm trying to figure out a way to pair down my contacts to about a 100 or so.

When I go to bluetooth enables devices my Land Rover appears. And if I choose OPTIONS I can change the ADDRESS BOOK TRANSFER mode with three different options. 1. Disable, 2. All Entries, and 3. Hot List

My question is what is a Hotlist within my 8700? I'm assuimg this would be the only way I can trim down my list but I have no clue how to use it. How can I designate which contacts are part of this hotlist??

Any help on hotlists would be much appreciated

Don't worry, the hotlist confuses a lot of people. The way it's documented, it transfers the contacts that have had recent contact using the phone portion of the BB. The few times, I've tried to use it, I couldn't tell if it was transfering based on who I actually spoke to, who I called and didn't speak to, or who called me and I didn't pick up. Let's just say that it was a few of each, but not all of one type.

I have a 7520, and when I go to the Bluetooth funtion, and Options, I have no option for a "Address Book Transfer". I am running Version 4.0. Do I need to update my software, or am I missing something else?

Well, I might have a work around for my problem. Because I also own a Motorola Razr what I could do is add the dozen or so contacts to that phone then pop my my sim card in it and transfer over the contacts from the razr.
