I thought the 9530 was a CMDA device, therefore unable to be unlocked.

9530 is a World Phone with a GSM Radio on top of the CDMA radio.

Agent Brown is 100% right . The GSM portion will most likely be able to get unlocked. Not through the carrier database, but through the RIM database.

Horizon Wireless Online will also be selling Storms as well. Why not just buy it from them unlocked?
