I have a icon which has just appeared on my Curve in the very top line.
Where the new message symbols show I now have a new icon I've never seen before.
I have a little globe icon with a number 1 in front of it.
Can anyone help me out
A battery pull didn't cure it.

Its an internet message, probally from your carrier, or you could have requested a ringtone or somerthing to that extenet. I know with T-zones if you wanna download a ring from your curve that's what shows up on my screen as well. In a nutshell its a download link

Thanks. Gone now
I showed all my desktop icons and went into the combined messages folder and that cleared it. It was just a normal forum front page for a band I like. I had not been on that page yesterday when the icon arrived.

But gone now

Yea that is the icon for a push message. Accuweather has a push forcast service, and that is how they come in as well.

What is a push message ? This just opened up a forum page with a load of threads on and wasn't a link to a particular thread or post etc. And wasn't a pm.

You see a lot of that now with "Get Your Free Ringtones... Click Here!" kind of garbage. Freakin' spammers should be beaten to death.
