Default spanish translator app with not cell service?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

This idea occurred to me pretty late but here goes anyway...

I am going to be in Spain for a week. I will be with a friend for a good portion of that time but I was thinking it might not hurt to have a backup plan.

So is there a translation application that can work on a BB 8330 that does not access the internet to function? My provider is Sprint and I am pretty sure I won't have service in Spain.

However, I could use an application that was resident on the BB and could function when there is no service.

Is there any such beast out there?

Thanks.

I doubt it. Most translation apps require Internet service.

This might help a bit:

BlackBerry English Spanish Dictionary and Phrasebook by Ascendo

I am not affiliated with the company and do not own this product, so I cannot attest to its value. However, two of their other products are quite good, so...

There are a few spanish translators listed on the internet for the Blackberry. Do a google search.

I have Navita Translator on my Blackberry Curve. Navita Translator translates more than 50 languages and is capable to speak languages like English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, German and Russian.

I have the multilanguage pack from MSDict (not Microsoft) but they sell individual languages but it is merely a DICTIONARY. Once you download the dictionary or get it from them, it resides on the BB.
