Default Verizon Get 9300, With OS 5

Confirmed and shipping Sept 16th, it will come with OS 5, despite RIM saying the 9300 with come with OS 6. Verizon is releasing OS 6 as an update "later".

Hahahahaha, what garbage. OS 5 on a brand new device? Talk about the emperor's new clothes. Let's see how many fanboys come to defend RIM's retarded decision to put last year's OS on a brand new device, when OS 6 is out in the open. Verizon uses should feel insulted. No wonder Verizon is putting their eggs in Android's basket.

RIM proves once again, the don't get it.

From the way I read the article, its Verizon's choice to use OS 5.
RIM are launching the 9300 elsewhere with OS 6.

I think with the launch of the device so close, Verizon decided they didn't have time to spend their usual amount of time [a bloody long time] looking at OS 6 before approving it; hence the "OS 6 at a later date". Knowing Verizon, it may be not at all.

Yes. There are OS
6 Betas out. Still insulting to preload with OS 5, especially with users who may have a different skill set.
