Default Twitterberry 09.6 - "Network Request Failed" when sending to Twitpic

Please Login to Remove!

I am using a Curve 8900 on Tmobile with unlimited data on a BES and BIS.

I can send regular tweets but when I send a pic to TwitPic it gets to about 39% and then I get this message. Is it because I am using EDGE and not WiFi or 3G? I have tried the diagnostics and they all say OK. I even tried with and without the two Tmobile APNs.

There is a similar thread on here where someone else had a liek problem. Many of the responses suggested other twitter clients. So before I get a bunch of those responses, I need to know if you can send to twitpic in these other clients.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

What other clients were suggested?

Also, if twitpic acts up I usually just send pictures to it via email. I believe each twitpic account has a unique email address you can use to send pictures.

They suggest Blackbird and Tiny Twitter.

Sending via email lets you tweet and send to twitpic? I have never done it that way. While this could be an option I think I prefer the client.

I actually haven't used those clients. I recommend SocialScope or UberTwitter. Both of those allow you to send pictures via twitpic.

Do you know how I can get an invite to SocialScope?

EDIT: Just tried uberTwitter and it worked once (not to Twitpic though). The second time I get "unknown exception..." error.

.9 is a nice improvement. I also had a similar prob with TwitterBerry. Try uninstall > battery pull > reinstall. Worked for me, and I just read a similar response
TwitterBerry 0.9 Beta 1 now available for download | BlackBerry Sync - BlackBerry News You Can Sync With...
Also, .9 is still in Beta and the BB OS needs to be 4.2+. I remember Orangatame has a forum also for updates on the bugs.
Good luck - happy tweeting :P

Thanks. But I have tried the whole uninstall, battery bull, install, battery pull, then try again. No luck.

Also the Blackberry Curve 8900 runs on 4.6.

I reduced the image size in Camera Options to Medium 1024 x 768 and that seems to resolve this issue.

Now onto more annoyances. When I take a pic i have the options to sent to Messenger, Mail, SMS, Facebook but not Twitterberry. I have to go to the media icon and navigate to the image and then I have that option. So strange and frustrating.

After taking the picture go to "view photos" select the photo then scroll down you should find "send to TwitterBerry".

Why not leave the setting on autodetect? I didn't realize you can have both BES & BIS. I was always under the impression that it was one or the other?

BTW did you notice the option for "send to Twitterberry" while in view photo.
