Default Event Alarm Notifications: Adjusting Duration?

Please Login to Remove!

I recently updated my Z10 to the latest OS 10.3.1.1779. The "jury's still out" on whether or not this new OS version is "better." The icons certainly look more cartoonish than the very professional-looking icons of the previous version OS.

Anyway.....

Audible alarms for events on my calendar are very important to me. In the previous OS version, I could adjust the duration of calendar alarms when they sounded (I chose the maximum duration). After installing this new OS version, calendar alarms are now only sounding briefly, and try as I might, I can find no way to lengthen the duration of a calendar alarm. Has this latest OS eliminated this capability that I had on the previous OS version? If so....so much for another "improvement!"

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure if it is a bug or by design. At any rate, lots of notice and complaints. Hope it is returned to the way it was in a subsequent update.

Thanks for your response. I'm thinking...no, HOPING...it's a bug. Why would anyone want to make an alarm "less alarming?" Because of the nature of the work I do, calendar alarms are a very important feature to me, and I can't afford to miss an important alarm. Having a longer duration alarm is certainly preferable to the brevity that I've regressed to now following the installation of the latest OS. LOL!

KB36755-After upgrading BlackBerry 10 OS to version 10.3.1 the volume for notifications is noticed to be significantly lower than in the previous version
