I don't think this is possible with most radio stations' websites. I've tried it, too. The only way I've been able to get radio on the BlackBerry is with internet radio apps, like mobiola xplayer and BerryTunes. Then you are limited to the stations they have access to. Maybe someone else knows more...

I don't think so. You could try Berry Tunes and see if you can add a custom station. When I tried it, it didn't work. There's a free trial for the app on Hangango.com.

It looks like radio stations/broadcasters have to apply to be on Flycast.

moodio.fm has given me the best results.

When you try to access a stream, you need to have the actual stream URL, and not the page URL that will serve the stream. A large portion of radio stations (per their parent company i.e. ClearChannel) have moved to a Flash based stream player on their site, making it more difficult to locate the mms stream.

I apologize, I failed to mention one other app that has yielded very good results:

Nobex Radio Companion - Helps You Keep Your Music Collection Fresh!

OTA: Nobex Radio Companion - Download

It is nice to have the playlist for the radio station you are listening to, and to be able to stream radio stations from other regions. The only knock I have heard about the app, is the stations you can add are US only.

Default Adding stations......

I read somewhere on the BB Forum that one of the services (like FlyCast) will accept requests from listeners to add radio stations to their service. I can't find it now, but I'll keep looking and report back. Meanwhile...why don't you all look for that, too!

PS: I installed FlyCast two days ago, and it works wonderfully! I have only tried it on wireless network (EDGE) for a few minutes, with some minor skipping that was probably due to a poor signal. However, when connected via WiFi with my Curve (8320), it is flawless, with a superb stereo image and excellent frequency response for the audio. Love the "favorites" portion of the interface as well.

This may be my favorite BB app yet.

Wink

I agree that Flycast work Great. I had read the complete site and forum. For now, they accept to add station only if the request is coming from the Owner of the station. I am suspecting that the charche them a little $$$.

I had foward a request to my friend that is awner of a web Radio and he will let me know, if they charge.

What i am really looking is an application that support streaming, and authentification. (Password and user name promting)

Sorry for all the bad spelling...I am french canadian.
