Angry About to throw my phone in the trash...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

So I purchased this new Bold a few days ago,
and it's given me almost nothing but grief.

First issue (just today): the scrollwheel just
stopped working for about 10 minutes. It would
scroll to the right and the left, but not up and down.
Worked itself out after a while.

Second (and most annoying) issue: Damn bluetooth-
I turned it off on my phone, and there are NO bt devices
around me at all... the only devices I've paired to the phone
via bluetooth are my headset (back in my apartment) and
my laptop (back in my apartment).

Now everytime I make a call, the stupid bt icon shows up
and I have to manually click the menu button, scroll down
to 'activate handset' or 'activate speakerphone' before I
can even HEAR or COMMUNICATE with the person that
I'm attempting to call/ who is trying to call me.

What is going on with this device??!?!?! I'm going to send it
back to AT&T and tell them they can keep this piece of sh**

Argh. Suggestions?

Most carriers have a remorse period that will allow you to replace the device within a set number of days after purchase. Give ATT a call to discuss your options.

Turn it off. Take the battery out. Put the battery back in. Wait till it boots up. If that fixes it, great. If not, perhaps the bug up your butt is a Blue Ant. Sorry. That was innapropriate and uncalled for. I take it back.

Sounds like bad hardware. Lemons happen. Return it for another one while you can.

One other thing i noticed: when i had my bold for the first time in close to sub-zero weather, the up-down stopped working. more specifically, only down worked. Once it warmed up, up and down worked. Not sure if you are having climate issues, but i did want to raise that as a possible issue...

I had the "no up/down" issue happen to me once while it was cold. I clicked the trackball a few times and it began working OK again.
