If you have "Dialing from Homescreen" disabled then pushing the letter K should lock the device and dim your screen in about 5 seconds.

Nah, nothing I've seen. On the Treo phone you can just push the red "end call" button and turn the screen off. Good to avoid prying eyes.

I hear that Palm has a new phone coming out soon... or you can have the security of a BlackBerry mobile device.

No, I could not care less what they have on a new Palm. It can fly around the room for all I care. Palm Is Dead. Simple as that. So if it has a single touch key to blank the screen, so what?

I have a box of them somewhere. They got complacent and missed the market.

You can do this with dial from home screen on...just long-press a and it'll lock the keyboard.
