Default 7250 - dials by itself?

Please Login to Remove!

Need a little help.... I'm a pretty experienced BB user and have had my 7250 since Verizon introduced it last Spring (I think it was). In the last couple of weeks the phone has dialed my home number seemingly by itself. My wife has received several calls, nobody else has complained. I of course don't know this is happening but she can see from Caller ID that it's me.

They usually occur after I leave work and after I have already made a call home to announce that I am on my way home. Last night apparently the call came in while I was browsing through Best Buy (looking at plasma TV's, maybe my wife has me wired. ) Again, my last call had been to home.

I verified that Dialing from the home screen is set to No.

I tried moving the BB around while it was in the holster to recreate the sequence and have been unable to do so. My Home speed key is "H", I guess the next thing would be to change to a different letter just in case the "H" is getting pressed.

Is there a hidden redial feature someplace? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

If you have a bluetooth handset in your pocket it is quite possible that you hit the redial feature it happened to me once.

I do use BT speakerphone in car and sometimes a headset. When this has happened, both have been off (and not even physically with me)

After my elderly parents discovered I was the one making annoying calls - never on the line.... I decided the speed dial button must be getting engaged when the bb is holstered. I set the security option to lock on holstering and never have had another issue
