.448 is now an official os for Rogers and a number of others in our office with the Torch (I have been on .448 for a while) have upgraded to .448. But all of us are noticing that our office phone voice mail, which is e-mailed to us as a wave attachment, now sounds "scratchy" when downloaded and played on our Torch. This was not a problem with earlier os versions. I suspect there may be a change in the digital to analogue (or vice versa) sampling with the new os. On a recent trip to the US one message was totally unintelligible when I tried to pick up my voice messages from the office telephone on my Torch.
Anyone else notice that this something new with this OS?

Hello JSanders.
Thank you very much for that post, I have a BB bought in Europe and I really need to be able to use the Japanese language on it...Right now I am working in France and I can't read the emails in Japanese, and in 6 months I will have to go back to Japan with that BB and I will have to use the Japanese language directly from my BB....

I tried to do everything you describe on your message, I could upload the program and everything, cancelled the vendor file also.
But then after pluging in my BB, the program only asks me if I want to cancel the applications I have already, but doesn't ask me for charging new applications....
Am I mistaking anywhere when installing the program?

Also, just after plugging in it says that my BB version is more recent than the one offered by the program, so it asks me if I want to keep my BB last version or use the old program version....I clicked on " I want to keep my last new ones"....can this be also the reason of the problem...?!

I'm so bad at computers....
Please help! (T_T)

.526 has solved the voicemail issue.

I was just sent an update to version 6.0.0.526 and did it without thinking. Now I'm wondering of that's AT&T's way to stop the bridge functionality in the future. Hmmmm

Not sure if it is or not. If you backed-up your phone with BlackBerry Desktop Software, you could always downgrade. Or better yet, downgrade to .448 from UK3 here:

Hi All,

I just fixed my BlackBerry(BB) Bold "SOS" issue. It is my Business Phone where i get calls and see my business emails. The carrier is Verizon. This is what you have to do, Go to Options --> Mobile Network - Network Technology - change it to Global. My BB has started working again. This also happens when you are out of network for long time or no network in area at all.

Thanks,
Farookh Azeez

Thank you. That applies to your model BlackBerry (a Blod, according to your profile) and does NOT apply to GSM BlackBerrys like the 9800. It only applies to CDMA/GSM hybrids like the Verizon Blod. You've now posted this three time. Thanks.

.526 has been an official OS from AT&T for over a week and still .448 remains "stuck" at the top of the thread. I have used .526 for a week now without issues and it corrected a problem I was having with .448.
I see now .534 is an official OS from Bell Mobility up here in Canada. Am downloading it now.
With two new official OS's tested by major North American carriers available, I can't understand why .448 is still noted at the top of this thread as the latest OS.

I've only just had the Torch for a week. On Vodafone UK. The battery life was atrocious. I was on .246. I tested it with virtually nothing running. I think losing 10% every 15 minutes or so. Changed to .448 yesterday and the difference is absolutely remarkable. A full day (with virtually no use) 75% battery. Amazing.

Now to test the phone using stuff. At last. Couldn't do that with 246.

Yeah, it's here Vodafone.de but I'm having the same freezes (thinking icon spins forever) that I had with 526.

I'm back on the .450 beta which is stable.

Discovered the solution to the spinning think icon and battery drain on another forum. If you have this issue, ensure that "Enable Compression" is deselected for your storage media.

I went one step further and unchecked the box, then reformatted my card.

.546 is running awesome now!
