If you are a T-Support customer, you can download the software from Optus Mobile Pty Limited.

Software For BlackBerry Bold (TM) 9000 smartphone

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.199 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.6.0.199
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.6.0.92
Software Platform: 4.0.0.117
File name: 9000M_PBr4.6.0_rel199_PL4.0.0.117_A4.6.0.92_Optus. exe
File size: 89.84MB

Click on this link and pull down the window for this download:

1. Make sure you have Desktop Manager installed. You can get DM 4.6 here:
Vodafone Germany
2. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running the file you downloaded.
3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Plug in BB and Open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to DM again and run application loader again and it should load the OS to the device.

Hey Folks

I've got an AT&T 9000 that is unlocked & I'm using it on Rogers Network. Rogers has launched their Home Zone UMA calling & I can make a connection to my wireless router for email, web surfing & BBM but cannot get the UMA calling to work. I guess it's because I've got the AT&T OS on the device.

Any Suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

Unfortunatly, you can't use another carriers unlocked device and get UMA. Not even changing the OS will help. It justont work as the settings for it are hard coded to the device. Sorry, no UMA.

The link that has the bold handheld software has a newer 4.6 DM B015 than the vodafone germany link you provided which is B008. Just fyi, I'd get them both from Optus.
