anybody notice this on .190? you have to go out from folder message and go back to your inbox.
I had similar issue with .157. Resending the service book and doing a hard restart fixed the problem.

Some things I've noticed:

- Sometimes opening an application sends it to the background immediately
- Typing in a name in the Address Book brings up the Lookup option, but leaves the last character off of the name. Backspacing confuses it further.

Well I tried to check these, but my Bold is working and performing flawlessly.
There might be something wrong with your OS installation or hardware.

Did you hard reset ?

Have upgraded 3 of our Bolds to .190 and they all now have a problem browsing the web (using the std BB browser).

They all get and http error 400 bad request.

other than this issue everything else is fine and the 3g receptions seems to be much improved.

After some more investigation this is an issue with all of our devices all of a sudden for some reason.

Guess i now need to look elsewhere for a solution

I've been using .190 for a little while now and I have had some issues with it. While it did give me much more starting memory and slowed the memory leak issues I was having with .168 it keeps freezing up on me. As I type this post it just froze on me again. It seems my phone calls aren't coming through as smoothly now either. I'm recieving voicemails now without my phone even ringing. I'm going to downgrade to 185. Whats the word on 185. how is it working?

190 has been good so far but I have noticed an issue.

I have a PIN code on my SIM card and the phone does not prompt for this when turning on now. It automatically says 'Code accepted' and the phone is then ready for use.
I have tried disabling SIM security and then re-enabling it - but no change in behaviour (ie. it doesn't ask for a PIN code).

The strange thing is that after rebooting or pulling the battery it does prompt for the PIN code. This is the only time it prompts and then any subsequent off/on does not prompt.

I downgraded to 185 and it prompts for the PIN code every time.

Has anyone else seen this?

chetzy - if you turn your phone off by using the hangup button or the icon, does it prompt you for the PIN code when you turn it back on?

Comparing .185 to .190, I have to say there is minor improvements in browser speeds. I notice my battery life to be pretty similar, but also do notice slightly faster picture browsing overall in .185!

I think it is... all previous versions prompted me for a PIN when I turned the phone back on.

Thanks for testing this out for me - its always nice when someone else can confirm that the behaviour isn't just a peculiarity of one phone.

I hope someone from RIM sees this...
