My current listed hi score in my BB is 33100... but I've blown that away with the game I was playing until I had to pull my battery out this morning to remember what my model/series was just to create my account on here.

I can't believe that I killed my game just by pulling the battery! I've been playing that same game a little every day for the last 1.5 months. Had it up to 760,xxx and 233 lives with over 40-something times thru the 34 levels. Guess I gotta start all over! If you can get thru the 34 levels twice, it gets somewhat easier. I found that the second time thru the levels was the hardest as the acceleration of the ball during the second loop is the most challenging thing to get past.

Last week I was almost to 300,000 on Brickbreaker with 70 lives. The next time I went to play, it was all gone and I have to start over. The highest I had ever gone before was 31,700. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Has anyone else had this happen? How can I prevent it. It has done this before but nowhere near this high of a score.

Default Brickbreaker high score - 1.2 million

Once you complete all 34 rounds for the second time, the speed slows down again. You can therefore (theoretically) carry on forever.

I am currently on just over 1,200,000 with 167 lives. Unfortunately only 4 digits show in the score as its not long enough to record them all.

Am I the Brickchampion?

^^thats wild....
my highscore is 33130, beat the game once through, and reached level 29 on the second time through. i have not played in forever though, every since i got my bb 9700. the track pad makes it so much more difficult than the trackball.

Sorry Brickchampion, but you don't want to know what the high score is as I've seen it up at 11,000,000 and I had about 1.8 million with 304 lives when my last Blackberry went belly up. I then had about 1.2 million and, again, my Blackberry crashed and I was issued a new one. Since that time, I have lost my score 4 times through various mishaps (although one was my choice when I had to free up memory and deleted some programs and of course the unit did a reset) but each time it was easier to get back through all the levels twice. The last two times I beat the game twice without having to start over, which just goes to show that after a while your skills become to where it's more of a points accumulation strategy and trying to protect your Blackberry from crashing or the battery falling out (which is what happened to me last week). No, they have not come out with a way to save your scores when this happens although that nagging high score you got waaaaay back is still there looking at you So, I'm now at 159,690 points after my last mishap and have 85 lives with my high score showing 29,520. As those of us in the same circumstances know, you'll never get much more showing because let's face it: you have accumulated a bunch of points have lives up the ying yang and are not about to start trying to get rid of all those lives so you can have your score updated - you just keep on going until something happens and maybe take a camera shot of your score (I have one on my iPhone) so as not to appear like the man who claimed he caught the largest fish he ever seen but it got away

I have no idea what the high score for this game is, although it's apparently over 11,000,000. I currently have 1,390,710,with 310 lives and have gone through 82 times. still playing.

After years of playing and never believing that anyone can reach more than 30,000 points... I figured it out. The HARDEST game is the second time around. Yes, you have to play all levels of the game, than the game starts again, so you keep playing it.

In image below, you can see that I played the game 43 times and I'm still going strong with 98 lives. I can tell you that at one point I had 120 lives and by pressing the "back" key on my Tour the game KEPT playing and I lost 45 lives. If you want to take a break you MUST hit the BlackBerry button, then the game will pause. Then hit the End-Call button to totally leave the application. This will totally freeze the application.

I'm playing this game for three months now, and you can see my previous record on the bottom...

You can check my current record here: rses.com/bbtour121110.JPG

I can't link the image of my Tour screen, so I will tell you that my current record is: 734,180. I intend to play until I can't play anymore and video tape (with youtube posting) when I get to a million.

Having had over a million points a few times - I look forward to having you join the club DevekMaga! You're right, after beating the game twice it's all about point accumulation and trying to manage device memory (as your score does impact it) and not have anything happen that will cause a reset since that takes you back to square one.

Woody,

How long did it take you to get to the million? One of my applications had an update and required a reboot... I was only at 170,000 area... I was pissed, everything went back to zero. But now, that I know what is needed, I take my time and don't accept any updates until the end of lives....

Some people wrote that after the second round, the speed stays the same, pretty slow... Well, not on my Tour. There are time that the ball moves so fast, I just let it fail since I have so many lives...

I'll keep updating.

I had 327,000 on my 9700, which didn't transfer to the 9800, so I started from zero. Racking up 222,000 on the 9800, I got bored and killed myself 54 times to end the game and record the score. I had to do this to be able to reboot the phone to install the upgraded ATT Navigator that allows you to speak addresses. Cool. Get past round 2 levels that are faster and you're pretty much home free.
