This version is not a beta. This is an official carrier release.

have you tried Vision for Youtube? It works pretty well, the video quality is ok, but it could always be better. It works great on my 9700

what about this >>>>.

Can you delete from messages>fiew folder>missed calls or phone call logs.
And then go to home screen and press the GREEN button on your phone...see wether the phone calls logs really are deleted there.

Because with .344 they are not deleted. you have to sort of delete them by pressing the GREEN button (open the phone call logs) then delete manually from there.

Does .351 still have this issue as well ? I know .321 still.

I can confirm this also- japanese input does not seem to be working at present. I notice that the english speaking East Asian carriers e.g. Hong Kong and Singapore are not open for business on East Asian languages 9700 yet also so maybe they are still waiting for RIM to come up with the goods.

I can get Jap fonts but input is not loading as expected and is not working. We had a similar time lapse just after the Bold 1 launch before Japanese was available from memory.

Poked around the interweb for a while and everything seemed to point out SmartDial as the problem. Changing it didn't do much.

Turned out the problem was that I had entered all my contact numbers as 123 456 7890, with spaces for legibility. It worked fine in the previous OS, (sorry, didn't check the version before I updated, so I have no idea what it shipped with. ). This version choked. When I removed the spaces from the contact number, the name popped right up in the SMS thread.

I also paired it with a Parrot CK3200 today, so I'm not sure which one caused the issue... Kinda leaning toward the software, though. Has anyone else seen this?

Yep... this is a problem.. Also in the later release...

Thanks for the info. I did not know there was a 5.0.0.415 out for the bold. It looks like it still in beta but heading in the right direction. i will wait till final release.

cheers!

Can anyone please check this issue? When I hit reply to a message (email), then scroll all the way up, I am unable to change the "Send Using" account. Instead of getting a drop down list of all my email accounts, I get a weird black box covering the account name. I noticed this in prior release too. Thanks.

I verified it is in 351 and 415 but want to see if i should go back to 344.

I have the same issue when I load 554 East Asian pkg.
Did you ever figure out how to fix the issue w/o changing all the contact info without the spacing? I am ready to upgrade to higher version now if there is no easy solution. It seems likely its the FW OS load issue b/c previous version was fine.
