Default Mute button during a phone call

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else's cheek keep hitting the mute button when holding the storm between your shoulder and cheek while on a phone call?!

It's so annoying. I usually hold the phone with my hand, but sometimes I need to hold it using my shoulder, and almost everytime the mute button activates, and then sometimes those 4 buttons just disappear, and I can't get the mute button off, and then the person I'm talking to hangs up.

Kind of an annoying problem, that RIM could easily fix by locking the touchscreen and putting those 4 buttons in a menu using the menu button.

Anyone else have this problem? Hopefully they fix this.

There are other threads people are expressing their frustration. One is located at: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ring-call.html

Hopefully RIM will come out with a fix in some way.

What a brilliant advice :P

I guess is not a brain surgery to use "light sensor" to turn off screen during call? RIM always can ask Apple how to do this, I was pretty embarrassed when my friend shows me how iPhone screen turning off during call.

Cheers

I am new to the BB and to the Storm, however, I had a Q for the past 3 years. My wife is on her 2nd i-phone after several Treo's. This phone is really, really annoying. Like my Q, however, I will struggle to the point of an affair. My hope is, that I keep it long enough to have that feeling you get when you finally retire an old car, or a pair of well worn boots.

The Cheek to Mute feature is especially troublesome. WTF? It must be my high cheekbones, or could it be the most annoying glitch yet. I want my phone to work as a phone first. Easily. When you hit the mute button there is no sound feedback so as your caller completes their vocalization, you talk, and have no idea they cannot hear you until they realize you are silent and begin saying "hello? hello"? and usually before you can un-mute, they think the call simply dropped and they hang up.

That's when I wonder if I just need a simpler phone without a Cheek-Mute feature.

This has happened to me about a dozen times. PLEASE, PLEASE, FIX this "Feature".

"It's called TalkLock - after you pick your phone up it will lock your screen after 3 seconds and requires you to hold a slider to unlock it while your on your phone.

From your phone if you go to the following link: TalkLockxxx0153; Download "
