Default BIS w/OWA Meeting Requests on Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

I am using a Storm 2 and have configured BIS to connect to my corporate email server at work using OWA/ActiveSync. Whenever I get a meeting request in my inbox, the phone seems to automatically add it to the calendar. When looking at the time block on the calendar in weekly view, it shows up in the correct color but is shaded with diagonal lines. Does anybody know what the shading on the appointment block means or how to change it?

Diagonal slashes indicate it's tentative. You can accept it from your BB, but I find that causes double meetings because I'll accept a meeting in Outlook, and when I sync I get the BlackBerry copy as well. My solution has been to delete the meeting invite from the BB (on handheld only) before syncing, then I only have one copy of the meeting to deal with. Not a perfect solution, but it helps.

Thanks for the reply. I don't see any option to accept (or decline), and since I'm using BIS there's no actual integration with the calendar on the server so duplicates are not an issue. My guess is that when BIS retrieves the emailed meeting request, it treats it as a .ics file and thats what is showing up on the calendar, but I don't know how to make it look accepted from there.
