Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

Its funny how every carrier release is always behind the beta's that are out.

Version 4.3.0.127 (202) is still on Verizon's website.

What is weird is that it also says: updated 10/31/2008

I tried downloading it anyway, and it is indeed still v4.3.

I guess I'll use the link in the OP.

Some people are saying they got A4.5.0.77, but where is it?
I'm not seeing on Verizon's site.

So I guess if anyone has the 0.77 already there is no purpose to grab from the carrier for their device.

According to a Verizon source of mine, they(Verizon) pulled the OS due to legal issues. What legal issues? I'm not sure, but it's not up for download anymore. Sorry to all.

I put it on mine for the heck of it and there is nothing different. I then put 97 back on.

I was going to d/l it yesterday while I was in the office but my carpool wanted leave, get out of the office early. Went d/l it this AM and it was back to the 4.3 version. I'll ask the wireless guys on Monday why they pulled it. In the meantime I just went ahead and installed 4.5 from the top forum link and it's nice - I'm especially enjoying the smooth browser page scrolling.

I had an issue on Friday night doing the install. At somepoint when it was almost complete I had gotten an error message about not being able to connect. So I disconnected my bb and had a constant hourglass, so I did a batt pull and all was well, 'cept my bbm contact list was missing.
everything is straight now on my BB after I did a restore and got all my bbm contacts back and also got my older emails and other messages. I noticed that my weatherbug isn't updating.
when I click on the weatherbug icon I get a message saying "your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries. Please contact your provider to enable the browser on your device." I also noticed I don't have a default browser icon on the homepage. How do I resolve this issue?

Otherwise 4.5 is much better than 4.3
I love the html in emails and being able to see vids in the emails also. Overall it is much faster than 4.3 was as well. I have also noticed the increased battery life and free memory

edit I resent my service books and everything is fine now

For the VZW purists the 4.5 link in the OP is once again valid.

Yep! Downloading it now, but it's slow as dial up. I have a fast fiber connection and it's downloading at only 44 or less KB/sec.
