I now have two 8800s connecting to our BES, and one of them works fine with the MORE function for access to corporate Lotus mail and the other one doesn't. Selecting More or More All on the nonworking device simply causes some connection activity without any result. That client has no problem receiving mails - just problems with MORE.

The client options are all the same. Where should I start digging?

Try resending the service books first. My experience has always been that MORE problems are with service book issues.
