its more likely a computer/usb port issue. It has nothing to do with the carrier. It may have been a one time thing but if not then the same thing will happen with an OS from your carrier.

got a new phone through insurance so i installed this as soon as it came, then transfered all my stuff over....that was a week ago...still no interenet at all, no bbm, no gps ( sprint by the way )
the replacement for the replacement came today, im swapping everything now, and once the data is active i will then try to install this again and see if i have better luck.....seems other sprint users have done it with no problem
so hopefully the refub unit they sent me was bad...this time they sent me a brand new one in a sealed box with all the accesories and stuff

You need to resend your service books or the internet browser, etc, won't appear in your blackberry for selection.

Does anyone have an idea as to when they will release a new OS update for the 8130? It seems like they haven't released one in a while, and the GSM versions come out like once a month.

Default Having email issues.

I installed the new os 4.5.0.89 according to the thread posted at the being, But now I my emails don't seems to be pushing to my BB. I have deleted my email account on the BB three times and that has not helped. My brother sent me a test email from his BB last night, but this morning I had zero messages so I logged in to my yahoo account and I had two messages but they didn't push to the BB. Any Idea would be appreciated along with directions on how to complete the task. Thanks.

I'm having about the same problem as you clason18, but there are times I get my email like normal and then I can go almost half a day without getting an email. Odd.

Default resending service books

I'm still new to BB. Can you or someone tell me how to resend service books?

Ditto. Its like the lottery. Sometimes you win, most often you don't!!

I found it. All I had to do is log in to sprint.blackberry.com and it gave me the option to send service books. it was the last option on the menu.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will let you know if it works.

So I followed the instructions. It started to process and only took a few minutes. Then said that my device software was up-to-date. If I try to run it again (even uninstall/install) it shows the same thing. However, on the device everything under the About menu shows that it is still version 4.3.

What gives? The update should have taken some time and it should show 4.5?

Also, my Internet icon went away, don't know why that happened either.

So basically my "upgrade" has consisted of losing the internet browser.

Thoughts?
