Heard from a BlackBerry rep that a software patch enabling GPS would soon be available for the 7130e on Sprint. Does anyone know any more information on this??

i was told the same thing back one the day this phone was released. im not sure what kind of affiliation the person had from sprint... but the guy was from these forums. so if i heard that long ago that it would have gps soon, and im reading now that you heard from a sprint rep that it will.... then im pretty sure it will

good news for people who do not like google maps.

Actually I heard it from one of the BlackBerry corporate people (who also had a Sprint 8703 on his hip). I'm missing the GPS big time...relied on that like 411!

There will be an OS upgrade this fall providing GPS support. The 8703 is on its way as well.
