I think it's:
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username for APN: mobileweb
Password for APN: mobileweb

But I think you will be charged about £1 per meg (it is not included in the BB data plan). Try to call the data support, there might be a different setting as well, or you might be able to get some data add on and you will pay a lot less...

Just had a quick look and my TCP settings are empty. What is it you are trying to do/need them for?

O2 does indeed charge for mobileweb use at £1 per mb.

Sometimes it is needed for certain applications to run. At oe time it was needed for the Opera Mini browser but as that can now run on BIS it is not required. The APN details may also be required for tethering.

i needed it for Nobex Radio Companion that when not connected to WI-FI needed TCP settings.
i got it to work with:
APN address:mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: mobileweb
Password: password

but if u say it is not included in my data plan then i guess TCP settings dont really matter
i was sure that i only had to pay GSM browsing while GPRS EDGE and 3G would be covered by my data plan.

thanks for stopping my monthly bill going sky high...

To clarify. Your Data plan covers o2 wap, gprs, edge, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. GSM is calls and texts only.

Why we can't use mobileweb I never know! The iphone and BB Conect devices get a 3GB mobileweb allowance :(

Not fair!!!

On a BB its the difference between data and no data. BB services won't work on gprs/edge but o2 wap should.

just to make this very clear:
after having used the Nobex Radio Companion for about 2 mins with the TCP settings O2 has charged me £1.13
so people on O2, what ever you do, dont put in the TCP settings

are there no radio streaming apps that dont need TCP settings?
or does anyone know of a way i can listen to the BBC radio on my bold?

thanks
