I have a Curve 8330. After setting up my email, there's an icon (has an envelope with a 'world' on the bottom right corner of envelope) and displays my email address when highlighted, I like it. Then there's the icon with just the envelope and when highlighted says messages. Is there a way to remove this icon or stop emails from going in there and only to the one that displays my email address?

Everything goes to the Messages folder. Then the individual email folders will show just that email.

You can hide the icon if you want....Highlight the icon and hit menu and select "Hide."

The only issue in hiding the messages icon is if your other email icon is a different email address. If the BB gets emails directed to the BB email address
( ) then you will have messages you will not see and eventually run out of memory.

Does anyone use those email addresses anymore?

It's also the case if someone were to send you a pin message. Or sms/mms if there isn't a dedicated folder for those. Also, some system messages will go to the Messages folder. Just keep it in mind if you get message notifications you can't clear.

Hah! I still use the @tmo.blackberry.net address for some things. And it does have it's own folder, by the way, just like the other accounts.

I thought it did but it's been so long since I've had that address I couldn't remember for sure. I deleted it years ago when I got spam on it when I'd never given it out to anyone or used it for anything.

It would be nice to only have one but with the spam and other things today, multiple addresses are a necessity.
