It works!

Altho...themes come out funky if exported to 4.2.2 and load on a 4.5 OS BB...

Best to stick with your OWN os if installing themes.

I also heard from Brandy who tested it on her 4.2 BB and it works great! All the icons show up where they are supposed to be...

Let the flood gates open....

Sounds like a cool idea. However, official releases of the 4.5 OS are going to start to be released soon (some already are). Maybe it would be best to just continue to export custom themes for 4.5 anyway considering when they are exported for 4.2.2, they may look funny on devices running OS 4.5. More and more people will eventually be running OS 4.5. Just a thought... What do you guys think?

Edit: I was just reading the Theme Builder's terms and conditions and I found this line. I don't know for sure if this little edit would qualify as modifying the cdk, but I thought I would bring it to the attention of the rest of you:

"You agree that except to the extent that Plazmic is expressly precluded by law from prohibiting You from doing so, You will not alter, modify, adapt, create derivative works, translate, deface, decompile, disassemble or Reverse Engineer the CDK, or attempt to do so, or permit, acquiesce, authorize or encourage any other person to do the same."

Sounds like someone can't figure out how to edit the files.

Ya know...if "Terms and Conditions" were ever met..you think all those copies of the Beta would have been floating around. Let it go Scott...The Plazmic Police won't come knocking on your door....

Just a generalization.. however, most people who are going to be against telling you how to export 4.5 themes to 4.2 are the ones who are profiting from the sale of themes..
Keeping the knowledge of how to do this under wraps is more about self preservation then anything..
If these people were afraid of breaking the rules and getting plazmic/rim angry, they wouldn't have downloaded/installed or support 4.5 beta of the OS

All I was doing was letting everyone know. It's not like I am just sitting here worrying about it, because that is not true.... And how did I know posting that was going to cause trouble...
