I am new to this forum. We have approx 55 users on our BES 3.6 server. We have the 7230's and users have the Desktop Manager software installed. Most users experience no issues, but one high profile user (a director!) has reported that not all mails are deleting from his handheld.

I haven't got the unit to hand, so its a bit vague to give details. I have looked at it before and he can have messages he deletes on his Outlook that when he cable syncs with his BlackBerry, they do not delete on it.

Sorry to be a bit vague, but are there any general problems with synchronisation not working when it should do.

I suppose my real question is can we freely install BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 (for Exchange). We have 3.6, but I don't know if it is a free upgrade or paid for. If I did this, would I need to upgrade all the Desktop Manager software too? We have Exchange 2003. I didn't implement BlackBerry in our compnay - I just inherited it, this is why I am not sure if we can just upgrade BES. Is it a straightforward job?

Any general advice would be greatly appreciated.

i dont think the BES to 4.0 is free. We run a BES server (4.1 i think) and there is a setting at the user level that tells to do a wireless reconcile or mail, calendar, etc. Perhaps this is not set, or is set differently for your director?
