Last night I installed 1.0.7.2670. Might be a coincidence but now although I do have file sharing turned on, I can't see the PB on my PC. Also the same using the USB connection.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Same issue here, but you can still access it by typing \\ip address into a browser window.

Hopefully it'll be addressed shortly.

my playbook shows up as a network drive, but am unable to access it...also something that happened after the update. i am also not able to access it by inputting the device IP. any other options? anyone else having the same issues?

Have all of you tried rebooting the PlayBook?

I forgot to mention,

Mine requires an active network connection before attempting to access it to copy a file across. If I open a browser on the pb and open any web site, I can access it on the network.

I can't even ping the device if It hasn't opened a webpage or done some form of network communication. I suspect it's having the network interface put to sleep fairly aggressively.
